CELEBRATION OF LIFE

My son died in September at the age of 23. He wasn\'t religious, and we had never discussed what he wanted for his funeral. I wanted a service that celebrated who he was, what he meant to us, his achievements, and didn\'t gloss over some of the difficulties he faced in his life.
Discussions with Simon and Jill took place over a few days, by phone to start with regarding the costings, and then in person to discuss how we wanted the service.
We did have the service at the Crematorium as I didn\'t want his final journey to be alone.
The arrangements Simon and Jill made were great, and we were helped by a lovely celebrant James Greerly to make the funeral into the celebration I hope my son would have appreciated. It was relatively informal as he would have wanted.
It went very smoothly.

Jill brought the ashes to our home after the event.

Both Simon and Jill did a wonderful job. They were kind, considerate and open to discussion about what we wished. If/when we need another funeral/celebration of life, then we will certainly use them again.

The costs were much less than the local town funeral directors quoted.
