My mother passed away 3 weeks ago and after hearing my friend sat how well Andrew looked after their father I thought I would use this company. Mother sadly passed away early hours in the morning, I gave the 24hour phone number a call which there was no answer. I carried on trying another 4 times with no answer.
After learning my dear friend Robbie had died adown got the date of the funeral. To my disbelief John Finn was walking in front of the hearse. How can this man do funerals? He is the biggest con man in Sunderland. After hearing how he mucked my friends sons around by coming up with lousy excuse as to why theyou couldn't see their dad until the night before his funeral. I wouldn't even be giving John Finn 1 star!!
We had a terrible, traumatising, experience using this company. Please, DO NOT use them. Andrew was very unprofessional, promises were made that were not delivered, (too many to mention on here) but for example, we didn't get to see our relatives body at least a few days after being promised and then wasn't dressed as we had requested. The obituary didn't go into the paper until the day before the funeral. This was lied about, I myself rang the Echo office to be told the request had not gone in until the Tuesday evening when I was told by Andrew it had been emailed on the previous Friday. We were told lie after lie. We were deceived on many fronts which left our family wondering if the funeral was even going to take place. We will be contacting the Funeral Federation and filing an official complaint
I lost my mam in death on 3 January 2016 and she was cremated yesterday on the 12th. Prior to death following her wishes I "shopped around" for the best basic funeral, discussing her options she went along with my choice of using Carol Finn Funerals. From the first contact with "Andy" until the conclusion of the services everything was handled and dealt with in a warm professional manner. Lots of personal touches to make my mams "send off" unique has caused family and friends to praise the service. I highly recommend to anyone needing such and am very grateful that I chose them from a list of 6 that I had initially called.
