It wasn't a surprise. My mother recently passed away -- she made it to 100! But, even so, it's a time of mixed emotions and unwanted decision-making.

Grant Coubrough guided me through the process with tact and the perfect level of compassion. He helped me make the necessary decisons that felt like intrusions at a time of difficulty. It was like he was an important member of the family guiding me through the process and shielding me from the outside world at a difficult time.

Everything went off flawlessly and I would recommend them without reservation.

Until I was in the position of having to organise two funerals within months of each other I hadn't ever given funeral directors much thought, but I know I could not have had anyone better than Grant to work with at two sad and difficult times. He could not have been more professional, kind, thoughtful, tactful or efficient. He told me things I had already asked him three times patiently and his presence was highly reassuring throughout the whole process. Highly recommended.

An unexpected and sudden death left us in in some difficulty on where to turn for help and advice. At very short notice Grant stepped in to assist us to sort out what was becoming problem for the Family. His expertise and kindness had things sorted out correctly and promptly but un-rushed to our entire satisfaction.
All arrangements were completed and carried out entirely by him, referring to us as required. It was a great relief to our Family to leave everything to Grant and deliver us from the hands of rogues.
His suggestions and advice were invaluable and ensured a flawless unhurried Funeral in a beautiful location . His recommended Civil Celebrant was superb, delivering a carefully thought out and presented service with just the right touch and exactly in accordance with our wishes.
We have no hesitation in highly recommending the services of John Coubrough & Son in your time of loss.

Having had to call on Grant, sadly, on two occasions, I cannot recommend John Couborough & Son, highly enough.

Grant is a good listener, a problem solver, responsive and professional, with the service delivered with sensitivity, compassion and a wonderfully wry sense of humour, which makes a sad and emotional time, much more bearable.

Ultimately, I was left with an assurance and peace of mind that saying ‘goodbye’ to my loved ones, was realised in the best way possible.

Grant Coubrough has acted for my family in two separate occasions now, one involving long distances and slightly more complicated formalities. I really can't recommend his thoughtful and dedicated professionalism highly enough. His long experience and natural tact and attention to detail make him the ideal adviser in what for many will be a bewildering and upsetting experience.

Recently needed the services of an undertaker and was given Grant Coubroughs name. Grant provided an excellent service, kind, professional, attentive and discreet. seems a bit strange to recommend an undertaker but he really did make a difference at a difficult time.
