They arranged my father's funeral, and were very professional and dignified throughout

I used this company for my mothers funeral. All went well on the first day but after that it was a nightmare.
The person who seen me first to arrange all the funeal details went on holiday the next day. We had arranged all the hymns, the church, chaplain, order of service booklets and i had to e-mail them the Echo obituary, songs to be played at the crem and the history of my mum, which i done the next day, which was all going to be passed onto the chaplain. The day before the funeral the chaplain rang me and informed me she had not received any of this. I had to e-mail her all the information. Also on return from his holidays, i received a phone call asking why i changed the design of the order of service booklets we had ordered, which i had,nt.
The day of the funeral went ok, but i waited 2 weeks for a phone call to tell me when my mothers ashes could be picked up. With no phone call i decided to ring them and was told i could pick them up on a saturday morning at 10:00. As i live 300 miles away we travelled down on a friday evening to be at the funeral home the next morning. We got there at 10:00 and waited till 10:30 and then rang them. We informed that no appointment was arranged and they could see us on the Tuesday. We demanded that someone was to come out straight away as we had arranged with family and friends to scatter my mums ashes the next day.. Someone arrived at 12:00 and informed us that mothers ashes were still at the crem and it was shut on a Saturday. The lady then made a phone call to one of the office staff and was told my mothers ashes were in her office in a carrier bag, and not in the correct place where they should have been.
A very unprofessional company which i wouldnt recommend. I felt i had done a lot of the work for them.
I did complain and was told the staff would be attending more courses and i also received a £150 rebate, but i would have rather them taken all this worry from me, as it was hard enough coming to terms with my mothers death and didnt need this extra worry at this time

Did you know? The funeral directors register was founded in August of 2012, that is 12 whole years! We like to think of ourselves as the first, comprehensive, funeral director reviewing platform in the United Kingdom.
