Lovely send of for my father yesterday. It was all organised by Alison from Stamps and nothing was to much trouble for her. What I really liked it was tailored to our budget very well with no overselling of anything! The celebrant she choose for us was also fantastic.

My father passed away early December - it was unexpected and devastated our family. We'd never had to organise a funeral before and felt overwhelmed by the huge number of decisions to be made. You're never prepared for how busy you'll be at the hardest time of your life.
We looked around at most of the directors in the Market Harborough, Kettering and Northamptonshire area and J Stamp & Sons stood out significantly.
The staff were calm, pleasant, smartly dressed. A perfect mix of personal and professional. Despite our turbulent emotional state, we always felt peaceful and practical during our visits. Chris, who directed our service, has been amazingly patient and understanding - gently guiding us through the various decisions and offering advice that always felt genuine and sensible. There were so many occasions where he could have easily ripped us off or encouraged us to opt for expensive extras, but instead their whole ethos is one of honesty and clarity. It was such a relief to find a director who we could trust, who we knew would guide us in the right direction, and help us design the send-off that my father truly deserved.
Chris also put us in touch with a wonderful, thoughtful celebrant, and allowed us to host a catered reception at the funeral home (a beautiful and tastefully decorated Georgian house), which was a life-saver considering it was 23rd December and everything was booked up for Christmas.
We have received countless remarks from family and friends that the service and reception were markedly different from other drab and depressing funerals they had been to. They were impressed by the class, how personal it was to Dad, the location, the food, the atmosphere. Everything.
We could not recommend J Stamp & Sons more highly. If this is your first time organising a funeral, then rest assured that the team will do everything in their power to give your loved one the perfect goodbye.
