My mum passed away suddenly hollowells was the first and only choice for me and my family they have given us peace of mind looked after mum with the dignity and respect she deserved always going above and beyond with care compassion helpful in every way jack guided me through this dark time very great full to him and all the team can’t thank them enough

We have used this director for our mum dads funerals.

Not easy in COVID. Rachel really was very professional I had done a plan before mum passed with everything she wanted.

That happened we only had 10 to attend but that’s the crem who decides.

So please used hollowells they are family and really do a caring service.

Thank you Rachel. My mums funeral was prefect everything as she wanted thanks for supporting us.

Hollowells have helped in arranging my Dads Funeral. From the 1st minute when they came to collect his body after he peacefully passed away they have shown the utmost respect, care and support to my family. They helped dress my Dad in his favourite dinner suit to send him on his way..the dignity they gave him was 2nd to none. Nothing has been to much trouble....even down to arranging a beautiful Floral Tribute on our behalf. This is the 3rd funeral I have attended recently that Hollowells have arranged ...both family and friends ..and each time the respect and care has been the same. I work at End of Life myself and I know how important it is to get things right.....Hollowells have done that every step of the way. Thank you to you all especially Josh and Helen you are a credit to the whole Hollowell family. I would recommend Hollowells Funeral Services to anyone.

my father died recently, we went to Hollowells as they are a local Funeral Directors and are renowned within the area.
As a family, we had specifically requested that my Dad's ashes were returned to the family,this was re-iterated a number of times with Hollowell's and they made it clear that they understood the request, it was of the upmost importance that we would be able to bring Dad home.
Hollowell's failed to act on these instructions and instead instructed the crematorium to scatter Dads ashes, this took place the day after my Dad's funeral and the 1st we knew of this as a family is when we received the letter from the crematorium confirming the scattering had taken place. We were horrified.
Hollowell's admitted their mistake, and then followed up with a 'without predjudice' letter to my mum offering condolences but no offer of apology, since then we have had no contact from them.

This has had a monumental affect on my mum and our family. I don't think she will ever recover from this mistake, it has affected every single one of us, The treatment from Hollowell's has been dreadful, none of the personal service promised, no follow up following the initial meeting following the mistake, no communication. They have managed to do something that cannot be undone and have offered no apology.

This is the kind of mistake that funeral directors cannot afford to make

I would seriously suggest going elsewhere, I would hate for anyone else to have to suffer in the way my family is now suffering, not being able to put Dad to rest ourselves, in a place where he wanted is crippling our family. This was one thing that was so important to Dad and we have been prevented from doing it.
