I contacted Allan Menzies following the passing of my Mum. Allan and his team have provided funeral services for my extended family and my mother in-law over the years, but this time round was extremely difficult for us as a family. But, Allan and his amazing team removed the stress and worry and fulfilled all my Mum’s wishes as she had already discussed and arranged a funeral plan with Allan a number of years ago. Allan is very professional, but he is also extremely caring and personable. The whole process was seamless and there are no words to describe just how AMAZING the service that Allan Menzies and his team provide. My family and I will be forever thankful xx

I cannot thank Alan enough for the wonderful service he gave our family after the loss of my husband Eddie. He could not do enough for us he went above and beyond the call dealing with the priest and the cemetery so that my wish for eddies last resting place was made possible. Nothing was to much bother for him no matter what time if day or night we contacted him + the personal touch of making a DVD of personal photographs was so special I would highly recommend Alan and his staff to family and friends in the future.

Following the passing of my partners mum, we found ourselves asking each other "What do we do now?". Although I didn't deal directly with Allan Menzies Funeral Directors before, they had provided a first class service to a number of my family members in the past. From the minute I called Allan, he new all the questions to ask and thought of the big and small things that we wouldn't have known to ask or even thought of. He also organised our Minister, Rev. Peter Davidge , who I must add, was like a breath of fresh air. Allan has fantastic principles and high standards and this very much shines through the service that he provides. I had called round numerous directors in the Glasgow area, and was left unsure who to use, not due to choice but how I was treated over the phone; passed to other people or put on hold with no explanation or even told I was getting put on hold, made (whilst grieving) to retell information over and over again, one even told me I was asking for too much (I asked if I paid more, could we have a viewing). I felt how could I be sure I was putting my loved one in good hands. Just as I was giving up hope and found Allan Menzies on here and decided to call and I am so glad I did.
Allan is compassionate and understanding, at 26 I had no idea of the process but Allan made everything so straightforward, he even putting us in touch with a Minister. He even offered more personal touches for us to make things even more perfect. Allan kept us up-to-date with everything, and told us everything that we needed to do. Allan asked us to send in photos and he put these to music making saying goodbye a little easier. On the day, everything went so smoothly, between Allan and the Minister we got the service we wanted.
I can't rate Allan highly enough, he treats your loved one how he would treat his own. Support a local business, who will treat you and your loved one with the understanding and respect you deserve.

When I first read the advert in the Genn several months ago, I was touched and when the time came, I called Allan. From our first contact on the phone, through to his visits to the house and all the arrangements, you could not find anyone more compassionate and kind, making all the arrangements as efficiently as possible. He kept us right every step of the way and you could not find a better service anywhere, provided by people who truly love and are committed to their job. Thank you Allan and Gerry!

From a recommendation, I contacted Allan on the death of my mother. From the call I received within a couple of hours to tell me my mother was in his care, which made me feel I was in good hands, to his visit the same evening to arrange the funeral, the service was personal, respectful and professional.
I've never arranged a funeral before and given my emotions at loss of my mother, Allan took all the worry out of it.
He helped us make it as personal as possible for my mother and supported and guided us in the decisions we had to make, offering his sensitive professional opinion where we needed it.
He always made himself available during this period and it was a great comfort knowing I could contact him at any time to discuss any aspect of the funeral or arrangements.
From the evening before the funeral, where my mum went into church, to the funeral itself, Allan was a support the whole time. Respectfully in the background but when needed, would be beside me, guiding me, ensuring it all ran as my mother would have wanted.
His staff are also exemplary.
During this time, your head is full of what if's and worrying that you don't do the right thing. Allan and his team made sure this was not going to happen.

I would Highly reccomend allan Menzies to take care of your loved one on their final journey. Organising a funeral for a 21 yrs old was never going to be easy But Allan took care of everything. He is a lovely man who works tirelessly to make sure our loved ones get the best service and still made time to phone and check on us after the funeral was over. My Family has used Allan's services twice now, once when we lost my Gran and then again when we lost my husband, both times Allan went above and beyond for us, I at the age of 37 had to arrange a funeral for my 33 yr old husband and I honestly didn't have a clue where to begin but one phonecall to Allan and it was all sorted he helped with absolutely everything and made a very sad and difficult time that little bit easier I honestly cannot recommend him enough and would never go elsewhere now and would 100% recommend him to everyone, keep doing what you do Allan as you really are the best in the business

Allan Menzies service was second to none, from the second we called him very late on a Saturday night, he arrived very professional and very understanding to us, we didn't know what we were doing he directed everything for us, to order of service flowers best car Iv ever seen in Glasgow, he also walked the street in front of my mum which for us was a lovely touch, he drove around the places she was born if that's not personal service I don't know what is, I cannot thank Allan enough the worse time of our lives and he made it bearable. Him and his associates were on hand from within hours of my husbands passing , and made an extremely difficult process so much easier .
Even after a very professional and endearing funeral Allan was still on hand ensuring all aspects were covered
