The Old Blue House Farm, SS13 2BY, Pitsea, Essex
We are a family run funeral director
Funeral Director in Pitsea, Essex.
I would not recommend them at all.
My ex in laws services was at grays but my ex husbands and son's father was done at pitsea a place he had only resided in for 10 days he should of gone from his home which he shared with his son for 28 years.
All they was interested in was pacifying his short term girlfriend and choose not to listen to his son, they even had the audacity to ask his son to change the arrangents while he waited for his father there was no regards to how is son felt, that is something a funeral directors should never ever do .....shame on them
Infact at the crematorium they refered to a non family member as to where they wanted to sit and not the son which all his family observed
Ex wife was left to explain aftet why they had wrong information about him and his life!
His uncles and aunts were amazed and were left speechless after the service. Also found out today that even tho they told his son the ashes would not be shared until his imitate family had paid, that the said girlfriend had already received them but his son couldn't until yesterday 14th February 2019
What a disrespectful and money grabbing firm this is.
The only good thing to come from this experience is that we as a family will never use this firm again.
I wouldn't want any of my family again to experience the shabby way in which my son's father was disrespected his lasting memory will always be a more painful one due to this
The hardest day of our life saying our finally goodbye to our mum that was to young to leave us but cancer won again. But with the help and wonderful support that Dave gave me n my two sisters even to get mum home for them last few days he made it happen cos he new how much I wanted her home. Ur truly one amazing man Dave I was worried bout carrying my mum but you was there to help me ever step of the way. You helped us get through the day and done everything we asked and wanted and I thank you from the bottom of my heart Dave xxx
Never having dealt with a death and funeral of a loved one it seemed a daunting task. When my Mum died she lived in Laindon and I live in Norfolk, I can honestly say that the genuine care and concern from West & Coe was such a huge support and their care and concern was not just about me, it was about my dear Mum too, Thank you everyone at West & Coe, Pitsea
I recently had the heart breaking experience of having to help my closest friend arrange the funeral of her daughter and granddaughter. We was obviously both numb and riddled with grief and needed guidance with the funeral arrangements. We did not know where to begin but thankfully West and Coe was recommended. I truly can not speak highly enough with all their help, kindness and understanding at this difficult time. Brenda was marvellous from the moment we met her. She gave us such good advise and guidance. Dave gave us so much support and strength on the day and we could not have got through this tragic time without them. We thank you both so very much from the bottom of our hearts and so thankful you was recommended. Love and Thanks Jackie Patience and Paula Frisby
Highly recommended, Friendly and informal whilst remaining professional.
Brenda and Dave felt more like friends than people just doing their job. This made our experience so much easier.
From the moment I telephoned West and Coe (at 10 o'clock at night!), Brenda has been absolutely amazing. I lost my 23year old son to cancer and had never arranged a funeral before, I had offers to organise the funeral but felt it was something that I had to do myself. Brenda talked me through the whole process, what was available, what could be done by them, who they could recommend for flowers etc. As my son didn't want a religious service Brenda organised a celebrant to conduct Eds service. Brenda was so clever in 'matching' the celebrant Jay to my family and our needs - we were very quickly put at our ease and felt as if we had known him for many years. Likewise with the other employees at Pitsea West and Coe, whenever I went down to the Chapel of Rest to see my son I was always greeted with a smile and an offer of help so before the 'big day' I was at my ease with the Drivers and the Lead director, Dave. This ease made the whole funeral that much easier to deal with, I knew that they knew what I wanted for my sons funeral and I knew that they would deliver for him. Nothing was too much trouble for them and if they didn't have what I wanted then they would get it for me. The respect, grace, dignity and professionalism shown by everyone involved made my sons celebration of his life just that a celebration. I have recommended, and will do again, this funeral directors without any hesitation whatsoever and I have asked the family to make sure that they handle my funeral as I know it will be just as I wish.
