My Mother's Funeral

I visited many funeral directors in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch areas and found many to be very similar. I found Chester Pearce and Harmony in Westbourne and after calling them, visited them to discuss my mother's funeral. They were so friendly, from the Funeral director himself, Steven Nimmo to Elizabeth and Charlotte who run the office and the pall bearer et al. They made me feel very relaxed and we're also comforting and genuine. I required a lot of assistance and they went all out to arrange everything and did so efficiently, expeditiously and at a cost to meet my budget and I didn't have that much available. The funeral was exactly as I had wanted and from the orders of service, arranging a Vicar, cars, flowers, booking the chapel, music and looking after mum's body at their Westbourne offices, they delivered everything beautifully. They subsequently helped me by getting a lovely casket made for mum's Ashes and then a beautifully crafted cross to mark mum's grave until such time as a gravestone can be laid. And they are also offering to help me with that too. I do not hesitate to recommend Chester Pearce and Harmony to anybody as I consider myself lucky to have found them and the most important thing was the very personal and support based way in which they dealt with me throughout, rather than feeling like you're dealing with a large corporate organisation. They are a lovely, friendly and genuine small group of people and I'm glad mum had such a lovely service from Steve, Liz, Charlotte and the rest of the team.
