I have never before had someone so compassionate and helpful. It was a difficult time but Garry remained cool and calming throughout the whole process. This put the family at ease. I on behalf of the family like to Thank Colin McGinley's Funeral services so much for making our sad event so easy and peaceful.
We contacted the company shortly prior to my Father-in-law's passing to inquire about appropriate protocols when the time finally came. Garry was incredibly sensitive and supportive throughout the entire process and guided us, particularly my Mother-in-law, through a very emotional time. Every stage and its costs were explained to us and we were given ample time to consider and reflect. Garry organised everything, including the obituary in the Gazette, the wake and the charity collection. During the funeral, we were so relieved that everything ran smoothly and well - impeccably organised. Comments from attendees expressed that it was "best funeral they'd been to". We are so pleased that my Father-in-law received the funeral he deserved, it has given us great comfort.
The final costs were highly competitive and we would strongly recommend Colin McGinley Funeral Service to anyone.

I would absolutely recommend using Colin McGinley funeral service. Their professionalism is second to none, staff are all lovely and so helpful in every way. The manner in which everything is conducted is wonderful and nothing is any trouble to them.
We have been unfortunate to lose both our parents in close proximity, both unexpected and will leave a massive void in our lives from now on. We have been fortunate though to deal with Garry Savage and his team through both of these difficult times which has only served to make a traumatic time a little less painful to know mam and dad were in such good hands. its difficult to think straight and try to get things right but nothing is too much trouble for Garry and his loyal team. He is professional, understanding and also manages empathy which must be difficult in some challenging times.

Garry Savage (Colin McGinleys Acklam) recently handled the care of my father, he instantly put myself and my family at ease with his kindness and compassion (which helped massively as my fathers death was unexpected).
Garry took such good care of my father, nothing was too much trouble, from collecting a specially made coffin out of the area to opening the parlour up for us to view dad on a weekend.
Upon visiting dad we got to know other staff members also - Tracy was amazing, she was so caring and kind...talking to garry and tracy was like talking to very close friends. Garry arranged the funeral beautifully adding special touches like lovely wording on dads coffin lid and also special wording on memorial brochures for dads service (adding really special touches you dont think about whilst grieving, yet appreciate so much afterwards). I feel so fortunate that Garry and Tracy not only cared so well for dad..but they also looked after us (they were made for this job) and made such a difficult time so much more bearable. Massive thanks to Garry, Tracy and all the team at Colin McGinley's Acklam.
