We had a wholly unsatisfactory experience when Rolfe's came and took the body of our departed mum from her home. The Funeral Director was curt, hurried, disrespectful to our father's deafness, he stood up during the whole encounter and in no way put us at ease. Was far more interested in boasting about his new Mercedes car fleet than offering caring advice and reassurance when we were acutely vulnerable and in shock. The body was taken to their chapel of rest late in the afternoon and overnight we reflected on his visit and all agreed that it had been unpleasant and caused us unnecessary distress. We contacted Rolfe's having made arrangements for her body to be collected by another undertaker and no words of apology were offered when we politely explained that we were not proceeding due to their lack of respect.
