Micheal and his staff was very professional & compassionate from the first phone call to the last goodbye at the funeral. Spoke to us and explained everything that was gong on and what was expected from beginning to end. Also I felt our dad was in kind and capeable hands and Micheal made our sorrow on the loss of our dad somehow bearable and I personally feel Micheal was there for us throughout our sad journey. A big heartfelt thanks to Micheal and his lovely staff.
Cannot thank Michael and all the staff at Harold Heywood enough for the compassion we have received with both my Mum and Dad..

It is never somewhere you want to visit but from the first time I spoke to Michael I knew George was going to be treated well and I would get all the support I needed to arrange all aspects of his funeral. All the team were helpful, everything from flowers to the order of service was organised by Michael really quickly, who is meticulous and clearly takes pride in his work. I can't recommend this firm enough. On the day, everything was as planned, really calm and he helped the coffin bearers with clear, friendly guidance. I was able to make sure George's wishes were met and felt that I was in control of a process I had never experienced before, thanks to Heywood's.
as a family we have used this funeral directors twice in 2 years , and would use them again , treated us with companion and was always there if we needed to talk . Very professional

Michael looked after my Mum's funeral this week and my Uncle's 4 months ago. After my Uncle's I decided that I would not want to use anyone else for any loved ones - the staff were all brilliant, caring, courteous and above all professional. Mum's funeral went without a hitch and my Dad was so happy with how Mum looked in the Chapel of Rest - all down to the staff - that in itself deserves 5 stars. After 64 years together Dad was comforted knowing how well Mum was treated by Michael and staff. Can't thank them enough.
I would recommend This director to all friends and family, I found Micheal the director to have a heart filled of compassion respect kindness and professionalism. He was fully aware of all the needs of my family members. He made us all feel at ease during and after the ceremony. I found him extremely helpful and organised. He is a very easy young man to approach and has a lovely quirky way with him and his smile reasures you that everything will be ok. Well done Micheal and thank you from us all.

My Uncles funeral last Friday was a really really lovely day. Michael from Harold P Heywood sorted everything for my Auntie from start to finish and did an amazing job. Made what I was expecting to be a very traumatic day for us all a memorable respectful send off for a lovely special man. I will definitely use their services in the future for any close family members.......hopefully not for a while yet though 🙂
Being Failsworth born and bred, it was a given that I chose Harold P Heywood to arrange my fathers funeral as they had done my grandparents in the 50's, 60's and my mums in the 90's. Only when I got home, did I read the first review and it was with some trepidation I met Michael for the first time. I was quickly reassured as Michael took me through the arrangements with his caring and empathetic manner . Michael kept in touch throughout, nothing was too much trouble. His organizational skills, customer care and attention to detail meant the funeral service was the "send off" that we wanted for Dad. I would also like to add that many of the funeral party passed comment on how "wonderful " and "professional" the funeral Director - Michael was. All the drivers and office staff were all helpful throughout the preparations for Dads final journey and also for help after the funeral itself. I can only recommend this caring family firm, who are continuing to deliver the service that my family first experienced seventy years ago.
i have to say this company went above and beyond. Micheal i can't say enough good things about you, a credit to this industry, genuine and professional. He was a young man who carried himself extremely well in circumstances that i was struggling to deal with . He did everything to the highest standard and i got to say money was the last thing on his mind !! I cant sit back and read comments about dustbin men , the service this company provides is of the highest calibre. this company provides the highest service and support to families grieving. As a parent I did not anticipate having to arrange my child's funeral. I didn't know where to start at such a sad time, my wife was grieving as i. I then was pointed in the direction of Harold P Heywood & Co funeral directors. They where professional, they provided a service which was fitting of my beautiful boy Caleb john. They supported me and my wife and my family fully, and their kind, heart felt and warm approach and professionalism has made such a hard time for me and my family a lot easier to try and deal with. I my wife and family can not thank the whole team, from the beautiful readings , to the journey in the the car to the service, to dealing with every single part of this life event which was by far the hardest thing we as a couple have had to deal Id like to say that Micheal Lindup and all the staff at Harold P Heywood and co- made the day special and exactly how we wanted Caleb John's special day to be. At a time what is hard for families i would recommend this company; they provide the send of a love one truly deserves and i cant say enough about them. On a financial note, money didnt matter, but they didn't ask for a single thing, but provided everything. Thankyou from myself and my wife and children and family for making such a terrible event in our lives become something to cherish and remember for ever. Was told by undertaker to take my husbands suit and a £1400 deposit my husbands with coroner i havent even got a death certIficate, i was so ill an ambulance attended for a suspected. Heart attack for myself.. Shocked And upset. Would never. Use this firm totallly compassionless.
This director is only interested in the money, very poor attitude, rude, would rather use dustbin men !!!!
