No personal service!

Shocked about the 'non-service' of this well known local company! Never saw or spoke to same person twice. Were not ready for me I dress coffin,despite my telephoning beforehand. No-one to see you or help me in or even hold the door open whilst I got soaking wet. No contact from them at all,after the first call & meeting,I had expected I might get even one call,asking if they could help or did I need anything. Took my husband's coffin to graveside ten minutes early,even faced the coffin & flowers around the wrong way away from the congregation. Took almost a month to reply to my letter expressing my disappointment in their service and then only a few lines in reply,saying they take note of my comments.Six weeks after my sending the cheque in response to their estimate,not even an invoice or receipt. I feel totally abused at an already distressing time by the behaviour and disinterest of this local company. James Peddle seem to have the monopoly in Rickmansworth & Croxley Green...in my opinion they are simply a money generating machine,no compassion or empathy and need competition. As a grieving widow,I urge anyone who needs a funeral director to look a further afield and hope that they will the personal service that they pay for,I absolutely did not.
