Through reputation, we had nominated E H Crouch as our funeral directors of choice once we realised dad was nearing the end of his life through illness. Once he had passed, they collected him from the home with one phone call. From then on, Clare took us through all the arrangements, prompting us about things we hadn’t even thought of and basically, left it to her to organise. Their new Chapel of Rest is very clean and homely with low lighting and we were reassured to see dad resting peacefully. The cars were prompt and clean and the staff were very kind, patient and easy to talk to. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and fresh and we were so pleased with the extra touches. They certainly guided us through a day no-one wants with the minimum of stress but also with compassion and friendliness and a light touch of humour when the occasion arose.
