Fathers funeral

24/03/2015

My father had decided to arrange his own funeral 2 years before he passed away. He went out to visit Dianne and discussed what he wanted and spent many hours on the phone to ensure she knew what he wanted. My father went as far as checking under the bonnet of the hearse and the other cars to ensure they were well maintained and wouldn't break down. When my father passed away Dianne helped myself and my sisters to fulfil my dads final wishes. We wanted a solid wood casket rather than a coffin, the only one we could find had to be sent over from America. We asked Dianne to order it but she managed to source a very similar casket that was made in the UK. She took the time to get to know my father and knew that he would prefer a British made casket. She also took us to the church in her own private Jaguar car as my father had already inspected the engine. The day was made that more special knowing that Dianne had remembered my father so well as a person. I would recommend Dianne Mackinder funeral services for that personal touch that you don't always get with bigger funeral directors.

Did you know? The funeral directors register was founded in August of 2012, that is 12 whole years! We like to think of ourselves as the first, comprehensive, funeral director reviewing platform in the United Kingdom.
