Having being told that my darling Mum was terminally ill, I was advised by the staff at St Giles to begin planning the funeral service before she had passed away. By chance I asked a friend if she knew of any funeral directors in the Sutton Coldfield area. And thankfully she did! On a cold Saturday morning, despite it being out of normal business hours, I met Celina Crawford. And from the very first time we met, I knew she was the person with whom I would trust the care of my Mum to when the time came. Celina showed me nothing but kindness and compassion as I cried my way through our discussions. Celina sensitively talked to me about what I would need to do in order to plan the funeral. She encouraged me to ask questions and she gave me honest and helpful answers. At the end of our time together, I knew that I didn’t need to see any other Funeral Director as I knew Celina was going to be able to offer me and my family and most importantly my Mum the respect and care and professionalism we would need at the most difficult time in our lives. I knew my Mum would approve of my decision.
I next met Celina five days later when my Mum died. Celina and her staff showed us real compassion and care as they took over the care of Mum.
On the days that followed, Celina gently guided us through the paperwork, the choices we had to make for Mums funeral and advised us on how to register Mums death. And whilst all of that was necessary, it was the kindness, patience and willingness to support my dear Dad that really showed how supportive Celina was. Celina afforded my Dad the chance to visit Mum in the Chapel of Rest as many times as he felt he needed too. He never felt rushed and was able to spend as much time with Mum as he wanted.
On the day of the funeral, Celina and her staff conducted Mums funeral with the respect and dignity that my Mum deserved. Her calmness when a member of my family took ill on the way to the crematorium was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble. Celina helped us to get through the day.
Since then we have kept in touch with Celina. She has advised and supported us as we laid my Mums ashes to rest.
We cannot find enough words to express our heartfelt thanks to Celina. She is a truly wonderful person who is a credit to her profession.
We have no hesitation in recommending Celina Crawford to anyone wanting a very personal touch as they say farewell to their loved ones.
Thank you Celina.

Did you know? The funeral directors register was founded in August of 2012, that is 12 whole years! We like to think of ourselves as the first, comprehensive, funeral director reviewing platform in the United Kingdom.
